Portrait of South Indian Actress Meera jasmine

Meera Jasmine
This is a mixed portrait using both charcoal and pencil.
I used kneaded eraser for the highlights.

A Pencil sketch of Little Krishna

This is a pencil sketch I did of Lord Krishna as a baby.
I got it framed and kept it in the pooja room at home.

Charcoal portrait of a small girl

Charcoal portrait

My usual method is to use pencil to get the outlines correct and then sharpen it using charcoal.
In this I used only charcoal for drawing also.
Charcoal is a bit difficult to erase and hence in some areas the portrait is a bit dirty.
But I loved it anyway....

Creative Writing Tips From established Authors

All aspiring authors at one or other time find themselves at their wits end. So many doubts and questions plague them and a little tip from an established author can go a long way in their literary journeys.

I found an extremely nice write up by my favorite author, Jaishree Mishra.

Here is the LINK

Another one HERE from Preeti Shenoy, another one of my favorite authors.

Hope you found this useful.

Never Let Go by Bryan Adams

A scene from Mask of Zorro
I heard this song, Never Let Go by Bryan Adams for the first time today. I liked it so much that I thought of putting it down as a post so that I will remember to hear it everytime I check this post. Stangely it reminded me of the movie The Mask of Zorro.

Eternal Dance of Love..

Photoshop art

Unable to forget, Unable to move on;
I live like a zombie,
Chained to the past,
By your slowly rusting memories...

You were my last thought before I slept.
You haunted my dreams,
I woke up to myriad memories of you.

In them I was with you;
Your face crinkling into a smile,
my heart drumming,
Our eyes speaking a million things...

Sadness engulfs me,
I feel it in every inch of me,
An overwhelming pain that threatens my sanity,
A constant ache to remind me, of you.

Your silence hurts ,
Your disdain taunts,
Weren't you the one who vowed,
You are mine, forever?!!

May be from a past life,
we have promises broken,
Perchance, an unrequited love.

We will meet again,
If not in this, in another age.
Our souls will dance eternally till the music ends,
To keep those ancient promises alive.

Rest not till we fulfill them,
Dance to the same tunes,
Till we master the dance,
Rest not till we fulfill the vows.

Come to me beloved,
I am tired of this dance...
I will forget the pain you gave,
Do forget the ones I gave.
And while we forget, let this music end,
Let us begin our dance anew,
With no promises or vows,
Just you and me and love galore....

You and I

    My art

    When I am with you,
    I am a splendid soul,
    All the vile thoughts,
    All things dull,
    Just cease to exist.

    You are my devoir,

    Your arms my sanctum,
    Your eyes my mirror,
The warmth of your hug my favored wrap.

My heart beats echoing your amour,

    My blood gushes in rapture,
My lips are tinted by your ardor,
My skin blooms in your fervor.

    You wonder why we forget,

    The entire world throughout.
    Our ornery paths converge,
    Our thirsty souls forever merge.

You and I, we contrived this world,

    This cozy microcosm of ours.
You and I,  we will enshrine our love,
    Just here beneath the stars;

The waves and the golden sand,

    the silent deponents...

My first watercolour portrait

Watercolour portrait
This was my first attempt at a watercolour portrait.
I have done portraits in Acrylics, oils, charcoal and pencil.

Watercolour is a bit messy compared to others. But the fancy effect that watercolour gives is just awesome.
