Another Versatile Blogger Award

Another Versatile Blogger Award came calling almost a month back. My grey cells were so lost in the shine and sheen of it that I forgot all about the requirement of an acceptance post. I had left it unseen in a far away corner of my Indimail where it had begun to gather dust. It had come from a blog called Petrichor and Clouds, send by Sreesha Divakaran; who dreams of little smiles and tummy butterflies.

Today, I remembered it, dusted it with a velvet cloth and there it was, back to it former glory.

Thank You Sreesha...  ( A Hi-5 to you, for being a Harry Potter Fan)

Seven Things about Myself:

1) I can't live without reading for more than a day. When I don't have anything new to read I go back to re-read some of my favorite books. I have lost the number of times I have read Jane Eyre, Pride and Prejudice and Harry Potter. 

2) I love doodling. Most of the pages of my books used to be filled with doodles of faces. Happy faces, sad faces; all reflecting my mood.

3) I am an internet addict. Especially after I started my blog and became a member of Indiblogger, I am always online. I panic when my WiFi shows no signal.

4) I believe that Kitchen is a lab and cooking needs constant R&D. I do it everyday and my family are the unsuspecting guinea pigs.

5) I believe in God. I have added another to the list of gods I already believe in. Google-eshwari... I simply can't do without her. Ask her anything, within seconds you have it. Which other God is so prompt?

6) Once upon a time... is my favorite tagline. Read me a fairy-tale anytime and I will snuggle and go to sleep, dreaming about a prince and a happily-ever-after.

7) My craziest dream is to own a Time-machine (or invent one) so that I am able to go back in time and undo all the mistakes I now realize I did in my past.

Liebster Award comes calling again...

The Liebster award came calling again....

I am:

1) An avid reader. 

2) An Artist. I love doing Portraits.

3) A doting mother. I love my son.

5) A hater of TV Serials...( Disillusioned by many bad endings, twists and turns)

Now to Answer Rakhi's Questions...

1. What's the philosophy/motto you live by?

       My philosophy is rather simple. "Live and Let Live". We all come down to earth with a specific goal. While fulfilling our soul's purpose we have to make sure that we are not hurting others.

       

     2. Any pet peeves?

       Hmmmm.... The relation between my brain and tongue is rather lousy.  I have suffered from this MANY times . My tongue refuses to voice the wise opinions of my brain at the most inappropriate times.

     

    3.Do you have any dream goals that are yet to be achieved?

      I have a dream and it is under process of becoming a reality. Fingers crossed. 

    4.Do you believe in ghosts/UFO's/supernatural phenomenons?

      

     I do believe in ghosts/ UFO's/supernatural phenomenons. In fact I loathe watching any such movies. If I see one, my sleep just vanishes and my heart will begin showing signs of a heart attack, the minute the electric power goes.

  5.The most unforgettable incident in life.

     I got lost in Dubai once during my first month there... The terror of not knowing where you are and also not getting any transport to my place is still fresh in my memory. That was late in the evening too...But I got back safe...:)
  
 6. Any OCD?

 Luckily none...I am a happy go lucky person. I don't care much about anything in life. So no obsessions, no compulsions and no disorders...:)

 7. Your definition of "Happiness".

Happiness is reading a much awaited book with absolutely no distractions.
Happiness is listening to my favorite song while going to sleep.
Happiness is the smile of my little one.
Happiness is savoring a Gulab Jamun....
Happiness is to be able to be HAPPY... just blissfully HAPPY.

8.Any secret celebrity crush? If so who?

It is an open secret...Hrithik Roshan..Since 2000 :p.


9.Any feat(small/big) you achieved in life, which you never thought was possible?

  Learning to drive in Bangalore. I had thought it was impossible. :)


10.Your daily inspiration?

  

11.Share a funny incident from your life.

I had gone shopping with my five year old son. I told him that I didn't have money to buy the exorbitant Angry Bird Game that he wanted while we were in the toy section. He was okay with it and pitied me that I was so poor.

We came down to the grocery section and I started to put into the trolley things I wanted to purchase. My son much to my distress, started keeping back the things saying loud enough for the whole super market to hear... "Mother, You don't have money to purchase these things..Remember?". :)

My first Liebster Award...

Know what? I was awarded my first Leibster by Seema from the blog Endeavours.

1) What is your favorite word or phrase?

      It is a phrase "An apple a day keeps the doctor away". My brother who is a Doctor used to joke that if all start to follow this, then all the Doctors would go bankrupt.

2) What holiday makes you sad?

      Holi is the festival that makes me sad. It was on a Holi that I lost my father. Whenever Holi comes, I just can't enjoy it anymore.

3) What is the most cheekiest thing you have done till date?

       I tied a thread on a piece of sea salt and then lowered it into the mouth of my husband who was sleeping with his mouth open. He started licking it. It was so funny.

4) What is the last meal that you made for yourself?

     

     Rice with Avial curry, Rasam and curd.

5) What was your best birthday ? Why?

     This year's birthday. I wrote an entire blog post on it. It was simply the best. You can read about it HERE.

6) What would you do if you won the lottery?

      Go on a World trip. Visit all the places I have read about. Make memories that will last a life time exploring all those pretty places. Meet wonderful people from around the world.

7) If you had a warning label, what would urs say?

8) Have you ever got sweet revenge on someone?

       No....I don't believe in taking revenge. I just forgive and forget. The thing is, I easily forget the pains people give me. I consider it a boon.

9) Who was your first best friend?

I don't tag friends as best and bad. I have many friends who prove themselves as the best at times and worst at other times...:P

10) What is the most scariest thing you have ever done?

     

    The tunnel ride in a watertheme park, the Dreamland in UAE. It was tooo scary with the water splashing onto my face and almost suffocating me and the tunnel seemingly never ending.

The person on the left is me after I shot out like a bullet from the tunnel..Phew...
