With a smile on her face, she ticked off the last item on
her bucket list, which had 101 items to accomplish before she died.
Taking a five-year sabbatical from her hectic job as a top
marketing professional, she had roamed the world, met with people at various corners
of the world, and even published a best-seller novel based on her travels.
In the deserted lanes of Palestine, she had met Arnold, the
famous American photographer who courted trouble and desired her.
She didn’t want chains, she wanted to be a free bird and
couldn’t allow even love to clip her wings- they parted as friends.
Deciding what to do next, she fired her laptop with glee and
opened the Google search page to prepare a new list; it was time to name new
desires, discover new goals.
The taste of freedom :) Wish it was so easy to take a break and go fulfilling our desires ;)
ReplyDeleteDouble Jeopardy
Lucky girl that she could achieve all her 101 desires and create a new list.
ReplyDeleteNice. I hope to travel around the world someday too. :)
ReplyDeleteI love her! What a strong independent woman :) I could see myself in her (minus the bestseller part and Arnold :P)
ReplyDeleteHow I wish that I could be like that girl and become a free bird. But I guess having a lovely family has it's own moments too :)
ReplyDeleteHow I wish i had her courage to do the same...!!
ReplyDeleteTime to name new desires, discover new goals--I like the sounds of that! Maybe it's time to take a page from her book.
ReplyDeleteIt is easy, we only need the desire to do that.:)
ReplyDeleteYes, indeed. Lucky she is.
ReplyDeleteAll the best for that Vinay.
ReplyDeleteI am sure the bestseller part is just round the next corner Aathira. :)
ReplyDeleteYes Prasanna, it has. But freedom has its own sweet tempting taste.
ReplyDeleteMa be we all can one day find that courage.
ReplyDeleteYes indeed. Time to take a new step.
ReplyDeleteA very interesting post! A bucket list of desires! Short, sweet and effective! Well written. Preethi!
