B is for Bangalore |
What can I say about this mesmerizing city, which gives me new
things to learn every day?
These are what fascinates me about this city.
It is the Garden City. At every turn, you can find a park and every spring the roads have a magnificent view with the blooming flower trees that border the roads. Flower girls visit the houses and Bangaloreans love flowers.
A floral treat from the flower show |
It hosts flower shows at the famous Lalbagh Botanical
gardens during January and August every year.
An Artist's stall at the Chithra Santhe.. |
It is an art lovers'
paradise. There are art galleries
spread through out the city. Moreover, the Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath
hosts the Annual Chithra Santhe, where Artists from every nook and corner of
India assembles to exhibit their art.
Last year alone, the Chitra Santhe featured works of more
than 400 artists and had some 1,200 stalls, turning the footpaths between
Windsor Manor Circle and Shivananda Circle into a vibrant, informal art market
from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. An open gallery, the exhibition facilitates direct sales
of art without any middleman between the customer and the seller.
Being a software hub, it is the melting pot of various cultures
and religions. You are never far from a temple, church or Mosque wherever you
turn. Iranis, Africans, Nepalis, British, Japanese, Irish...Bangalore is home
to many expatriates.
We enjoy moderate climate throughout the year, as Bangalore is more than 800
meters above mean sea level.
Here is a snippet that tells about how Bangalore or Bengaluru got
its name.

This post is a part of Blogging from A-Z April Challenge.
The Blogging from A to Z April Challenge was first held in 2010. The challenge is that we have to post every day of April, except on the four Sundays. April 1st is a theme with letter A, 2nd with letter B and so on till April 30th which will be Z themed. My theme is #Learning Everyday, I post about new random things every day.
India must be a very beautiful country to visit. I love the artwork you posted here, but mostly I find your blog intriguing because it is about tulips, which are a flower that I very much adore. I hope you are enjoying the A to Z challenge thus far.
